On February 17 and 18, 2027, a symposium focusing on “Listening” and “Storytelling” will take place in Bern.
Abstracts may be submitted until 14 October, 2026.

Prof. Dr Karen Barbour,
University of Waikato
Through engagement with the material agencies of oceans and islands, Karen Barbour discusses place-based embodied experiences, memories, affect and elemental motifs. She reflects on how humans are entangled in places, and how human actions, sustainable or destructive, reveal and reflect changes in immediate environments and the planet as a whole.
